Deficit spending can be ok, but one needs to look at where the money accumulates. Deficit spending injects money into the economy and needs to be balanced by taxes which remove money from the economy. If deficit spending leads to the accumulation of money in Wall Street, it should be removed from there via taxes. I view this as a circular process: Inject money at the bottom of the economy to help small businesses to stay afloat in times of crises and remove money from the top of the economy to counterbalance the power of big business and to control inflation.
