Joshie showed his true colors when he ran off like a scared rabbit on J6. He is a liar, a con man, a fool and a scoundrel. And those are his strong qualities. He will be POTUS when pigs are riding unicycles.

That is what a lot of people said about Trump before he won his first term. Unfortunately, they were wrong.

Exactly right about Hawley. I’m always surprised when he says something that actually sounds reasonable or even empathetic; and then he acts, and it’s always the same old Josh. He will not change, and we’re well advised to keep reminding ourselves of that. Fool me once…

> And not to piss a lot of people off

Too late.

The dems are flawed, but the modern GOP is just evil. Equating them is another form of self delusion.

Kristopher, I agree, it is a false equivalency. It is dangerous and destructive.

However, I will call out Biden as more than flawed when he supported the war criminal Netanyahu.

Yeah, we're flawed. We're just a group of human beings. No Democrat would deny that. Now, get one of those MAGAts to say that about their miserable bunch. No, they are the "real Americans"--- turds floating in a swimming pool.

False equivalents benefit the more egregious party and demonstrate the true leaning of the person who made them.

We are the "Show Me" state, after all. Several of my coastal friends thought that Josh was sincere in opposing high credit card interest rates in theory and his blabbering about his love for Medicaid recipients. Nobody in Missouri, however believed him and he proved us right.

I said the same thing in every comment I made in stories about his saying he would not vote for the bill! There was no doubt in our minds he's vote for it. I am greatly disappointed in Murkowski though, but just as Hawley fooled many in other states, I guess I've always been fooled by her.

>Hope. They prey on the fact that you hope they are actually better than they really are.

Exactly. And anyone who's been in an abusive relationship can relate to this. It never ends well.

"Chicken run"Hawley is a prissy pretender. He preens and squawks for attention. One look from Felon Drumpf and Hawley drops to his knees. He will not vote for constituents.

Yeah, yeah! Hawley has adopted the old strict Daddy's excuse that "This is going to hurt me more than it's going to hurt you!" I really can't figure out his strategy in doing this other than he's just buying time; but for what? I hope his hometown of Lexington is proud of him. He's become a star in the dark art of sophistry; a Devil's Advocate.

Would you rather pay higher taxes so the rich pay less and receive less food and health care or would you rather live in a tent in Gaza and get incinerated.

Please do all you can people to stop the genocide.

I can't deal with that.

I’ve already sent Hawley a message saying he obviously didn’t have the courage of his convictions. Also sent similar message to schmitt saying he wasn’t helping Missourians.

Sent message to Burlison asking him as one of his constituents to vote no when the House reconsiders.

I'm on Schmitt's mailing list--did you see he bragged about having obtained a few tweaks to some tax break programs for folks with disabilities, and also said (I want to look into this) that the overall tax changes would make an "average" MO family have a couple thousand more in "take home pay"? My guess is he is using a perfectly legit statistic that is also deeply misleading, like if you do a numerical average of the presumed value of the tax breaks by the number of tax payers it would average out to that number, tho' of course the average is skewed by the smaller number but massively higher incomes. Schmitt is scum. But Haul-ass Hawley is deep-dyed toxic chickenshit scum of the earth. Apologies for the coarse language.

Part of the problem is the public persona of Hawley et. al, allows them to look and sound as if they care about average people. Since very few people \follow the details of regulatory policy and congressional votes, people are uninformed while voting for the illusion. This is a major problem that must be overcome.

I voted for you in both of your campaigns and will do so in the future should you run for office again. In stark contrast to Hawley, I believe you will stand up for working people at every turn and will not let up. In the meantime, I know we will be battered badly by Hawley and his corporate patrons. We endured and survived before. We will do so again. Because we must

I saw Hawley saying he would NOT cut Medicaid. I saw Trump say it also. Well, they are liars. I commend the 3 Republicans who voted against it. The rest of them are not our friends and do not care for the people of their communities.

Don't be surprised that they only voted against it because there were enough other votes for it to pass.

If it were a John McCain ACA moment, I'm guessing one of the 3 would have changed their vote.

I live in MO and was not fooled for one second with hawleys grandstanding. It’s utterly predictable at this point that the same people will make braying noises and get some headlines & vote yes for whatever piece of Trumps agenda is in front of them. It’s tiresome tbh I’d have more respect if they were just upfront with their greed instead of doing the same song & dance moves.
